When did Open Door begin?
Open Door began on August 5, 1990, in a closed church building on S. 12th St. in Waco, Texas. We moved to our present location in 1998. (Click here for more on the history)

What type of church is Open Door?
Open Door is an interdenominational Charismatic church. People from a variety of church backgrounds and those with no spiritual history at all gather to learn about Jesus and worship in an atmosphere of freedom.  (Click here for What we Believe)

What is God's Plan for Spiritual Life?

1. God loves you and created you to know Him personally.

2. Man is sinful and separated from God.  Romans 3:23 NLT  For all have sinned; all fall short of God’s glorious standard.

3. Jesus Christ is God’s only provision for man’s sin.  Romans 6:23 NLT  For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.  John 14:6 NLT  Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.  No one can come to the Father except through me.

4. Must individually receive Jesus as Savior and Lord.  Romans 10:9-10 NLT  For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.  For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. 

If it is your decision to receive Jesus, please pray this:  “God, I come to you and I surrender my life to you.  I believe that Jesus died for my sins and rose again.  I now turn my back on sin and ask you to forgive me.  I give you the authority over my life from this day forward.  Thank you for forgiving me and making me your child.
